Diploma Program
This program is designed to train the
graduate for an entry-level career in
Office Management utilizing Accounting
and Computer Information Systems. The
graduate may work as an Assistant Manager,
Inventory Control Manager, Computer
Help Desk Specialist or Computer Tech.
The graduate of this program should
possess more advanced bookkeeping skills,
both manual and computerized, lots of
end-user computer skills including Microsoft
Office, use of the Internet, and computer
maintenance. The graduate will also
have a solid foundation in business
math and English as well as beginning
keyboarding skills. The graduate will
also be well prepared for the job search.

Graduates will also have the opportunity
to take several certifications after
completing the Computer Information
Systems/Business Administration program.
Many Gwinnett College graduates have
obtained MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist)
Certification in Word, Excel, Access,
and PowerPoint while others have obtained
certification as a Registered Bookkeeper
or CPA Assistant. Graduates from this
program can also transfer their credits
directly into the Associate Degree
in Business program. They will need
to complete four additional courses
to obtaing their Associate Degree.
