Dr. Marc Ellis, Georgia Chiropractic Neurology Center assisted by Robyn Nadel

Body Linc Bands and Advanced Kinesiology

This class will be co-taught by two instructors who combined have over 30 years of experience in the field, Robyn Nadel, NMT and Dr. Marc Ellis.

Dr. Ellis will teach advanced Kinesiology. He will demonstrate the necessity of addressing muscles, joints, and fascia in order to create coordinated movement patterns. He will also teach how to test the function of small subunits of muscles. This is important because people check the entire muscle yet they will have injuries in that muscle which will not cause it to be weak since other areas are compensating. By checking the subunits you will accurately find which part of the muscle is injured and specifically treat that section.

> This information will allow students to quickly detect what area of the body is not operating properly and how that region of dysfunction can affect other body areas.

Robyn Nadel will teach a unique system of core strength stability that she has developed.
> Therapists will learn how to use Body Linc bands to stretch joints and at the same time exercise to create a profound degree of healing and stability. This is beneficial because it will cause more feedback to the brain, increased blood flow to the ligaments/tendons and more reflexes to cause a correction in muscle tone.

> You will also learn how to massage the client while they are in these unique positions exercising. This combination of techniques facilitates healing in a manner that you have never seen before!!

Dr. Camden Clay

Enhance your position as a muscle expert! Learn how to find weak muscles and make them strong within your scope of practice! Subtle Muscle Testing is a muscle palpation technique which quickly discovers subtle variations in muscle tone, between strong and weak parts of muscles. This skill allows the Massage Therapist to focus his or her massage techniques where clients need them most, on weak parts of muscles! Most people, even athletes have significant weaknesses in their muscles. These muscles are not weak because the person needs more exercise. These muscles are weak most often because of disruptions in the movement of blood, lymph, cerebral spinal fluid, nerve and/or acupuncture meridian energy flow. Making weak muscles strong clinically validates your Massage Therapy procedures. Your clients will be amazed! This course also focuses on teaching clients how to maintain improvement of muscle strength with self-help stretching and self-help massage techniques.

Dr. Clay graduated from Life Chiropractic College in 1983. Dr. Clay is a master at finding weak muscles and making them strong. He has studied the art and science of muscle testing for the last 30 years. Dr. Clay has taught muscle testing regularly over the past 25 years.

Use SaJiDo Techniques in Massage

Martial Artists were always skilled healers. They understood the way the body worked and had to know how to promote healing in their students to ensure they could continue to train. Healing Arts and Martial Arts both require precise anatomical knowledge combined with the ability to identify and manipulate pinpoint sized somatic disruptions. Dr. Marc Ellis will demonstrate the skills of advanced body mechanics he has developed over the last 25yrs of Martial Arts Training that will enable you to:

> make your hands and finger tips stronger.
> get better results with your clients without wearing down your body

> use your body weight to your full advantage.
> develop increased sensitivity skills to feel subtle changes for precise body integration

Your palpation skills will be finely tuned enabling you to know precisely at what angle to manipulate the fascia and muscles to facilitate healing.

These skills will take diligence and patience to develop. Everyone who takes this class will leave with better body mechanics, palpation skills and an understanding of how force flows through people. Perfecting these skills will be a journey that will last a lifetime and produce rewarding results!

The class size will be limited to 20 students.

Note: This class involves pressure points techniques and stretching ligaments to move the entire body. There will be SOME pain involved with these deep tissue massage skills.

Dr.

This course will be held at the Lilburn campus

The basis of this program is to learn to treat muscles in their plane of action. This course teaches how to merge passive range of motion with your massage techniques allowing relief from pain in one visit. This technique helps in breaking apart adhesions and scar tissue that limit muscle flexiblity and length. By including ROM with treatment you will be able to use less pressure and get the desired results.

We will be covering common muscular injuries such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, Golfer's/Tennis Elbow, Piriformis Syndrome, among others. This course will be 12 hours and cover two days. Please wear shorts and tank tops or other loose fitting clothes to be able to participate in the hands on portion.
